Fortunately, everyone has their own taste when it comes to what you like. We always enjoy beautiful nature and old, historic places. Both on the road with the camper, as well as by bike or motorcycle when exploring the area. Sometimes we are lucky to meet an event. The information offered is our impression of places, routes and events that we enjoyed.
The information about the beautiful places is general and brief because the interest for everyone is different. We have chosen to publish videos instead of a lot of text. This is not a real blog, but more a library of film material. Of course, the films are provided with relevant information. See the images as an impression. There is always more to enjoy than what can be shown in the short films. Where possible, advice is also given on motorhome pitches, if possible with the site code of the NKC (Dutch Camper Club), the largest motorhome club in Europe of which we are also a member.
The images of the (motorcycle) routes have been selected for what motorcyclists love: beautiful views and challenging cornering. The older films are unfortunately not yet of HD quality, but they may be retaken. The films are provided with an animation based on maps from Google Maps or Michelin as much as possible. You must therefore be able to find the locations.
We provide some brief information for motorhomes and motorcyclists per country. It often concerns traffic rules that deviate from the national rules. We are certainly not complete with this information. It is therefore wise to look up further information before the start of the trip.
the blasons of the regions, departments and places come from Wikipedia. The information provided comes from various sources. Music is royalty free (with the exception of documentaries about the Middle East) and comes from the YouTube Audio Library or from Studio Holtz.
The website http://mooieplaatsen.nl is intended to inform interested parties about beautiful places and routes that we have ever visited. Interested parties can indicate that they wish to be informed about new publications in newsletters (only in Dutch). To this end, they provide the administrator of the website with an email address and a (fictitious or real) name. The following policy has been drawn up to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What personal data do we collect and why?
An e-mail address is required to be able to send a newsletter. To make the newsletter more personal, the subscriber is requested to provide a name. This is used in the preamble of the letter. More information, such as gender, address, etc. is not requested.
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to enable spam detection.
Visitors can contact the website administrator via the address firstname.lastname@example.org. This mail exchange takes place outside the website and no personal data regarding communication is recorded or saved.

Retention period of personal data
When you leave a comment, that reaction and the metadata of that reaction are saved forever. In this way we can automatically recognize and approve follow-up responses instead of having to moderate them.
When you cancel the subscription to the newsletter, all data is deleted. If you ever change your mind and still want a subscription again, a new application must be submitted. If you want to have the email address or your name removed, this must be done by canceling the newsletter.
There are no registered users of our website, but if they do, we will also store personal information in their user profile. All users can view, change or delete their personal information at any time (the username cannot be changed). The website operator can also view and change this information.
Who can view the list of subscribers to the newsletter?
Only the administrator of the website has access to the list of subscribers. Data from this list will not be made available to third parties.
How we protect your data
The list of subscribers is on a secure server and a backup is on a second secure server.
