During our holidays we spend a lot of time on the motorbike and on the bike. But where possible, we also regularly take the All Terrain Bike to ride a sporty, challenging route. In this section we show examples of beautiful routes where the ATB is indispensable.
NL / D
Border region of the Netherlands / Germany
Through the primeval forest of the Meinweg
Of course there are also cycling and walking paths, but we chose to cross the National Park De Meinweg with the ATB. This beautiful nature reserve on the border of the Netherlands and Germany even has a primeval forest.
Italy / Lake Garda
Tremalzo, an old military road
Along the Lake Garda is a mountain that is worth climbing by bike. The road runs on old military paths and is unpaved, making it particularly suitable for an ATB challenge!
Monte Baldo as a training route
Brother Ruud uses the Monte Baldo as a training route for his many MTB tours in the Alps. We accompanied him (on e-bikes) on one of his training sessions.
NL / B
Border region of the Netherlands/Belgium
Challenging MTB track
A number of ATB routes have been constructed in Maastricht. In collaboration with a MTB association, VVV Maastricht has even set out a route that partly runs across Belgium. The route over the Sint Pietersberg is a difficult and challenging part that is only recommended for advanced skiers. But you can ignore that.
Enjoy in the hilly landscape
The Meerssen ATB route from VVV Maastricht is only a small part of a real ATB route. The majority of the route takes you along beautiful rural roads and allows you to enjoy the view in the hills of South Limburg.
ATB La Bresse
ATB La Bresse
The tourist office of La Bresse has a large number of mountain bike trails around La Bresse. We drive route no. 13 of approximately 25 kilometers in length.
